Mistake # 1: Setting a Low Standard
What differentiates super-achievers from the rest?
Think Sachin Tendulkar and Cricket. Abraham Lincoln and Politics. Mahatma Gandhi and Non-violence. Lata Mangeshkar and Singing. Amitabh Bachhan and Acting. Michael Ferreira and Billiards.
Their standards differentiate them. Their standards are high. Very high. Unreasonably high. They and they alone choose to keep to it. Unrelenting personal commitment to unreasonably high standards of excellence in their chosen niche.
Set low standards; get a low standard of life. Be reasonable with yourself; end-up operating inside a tinybox.
Two manifestations of Mistake # 1: Set a low standard and regret it all your life or set a high standard and compromise it everytime.
Its lonely at the top – so don’t play to the gallery. Play for your self. After all it’s your life.
Choose Excellence. Choose Discomfort. Act despite your fears. Expect and go beyond the pain.
Be unreasonable. Be unstoppable. Be true to your self. Choose the higher standard every time. Experience peace, joy, love and prosperity.
So, do what is comfortable; struggle for everything. Do what is required; get everything, lose nothing. Live a regretfree life.
Get Smart. Get Prosperous.
