The Power of Structures
Setting up a fixed time to regularly monitor your progress on a particular project is called a structure.
A structure provides the context for bringing an event, project or habit into existence.
Without a structure you will struggle to get a handle on the matter – and it will die a natural death.
A simple structure I use with a new client is fixing a regular day and time to meet/transact on a weekly basis. Keeping to this simple structure makes the relationship workable and beneficial to both of us.
Make it a point to establish a working structure between you and your prospective client at the very earliest; preferably in the first meeting itself – and then ensure you’ll keep to it!
