How to form habits?
How can you form or change habits?
Very simple – BE DISCIPLINED!
As Jim Rohn put it, there are 2 pains in life: the pain of regret or the pain of discipline.
Forming empowering habits/changing disempowering habits is impossible without discipline.
This is how you get disciplined.
Do the desired set of actions EVERYDAY; and preferably at the SAME TIME and PLACE without a single days break. This creates a neural pathway, builds and strengthens neural associations; forming (in lay man’s language) a habit.
As you continue doing this, the habit becomes unbreakable.
Keep doing this consciously; until you continue doing it unconsciously!
Focus on one shift at a time and remain at it until you keep getting consistent results for at least 30 days without any break or breakdown.
Only then take up the next shift.
So, what should you take up first? Begin with the easiest one first; and methodically progress from cultivating one successful habit to another.
